Mini Album ~ School Memories {1st Post}

I love to create in the 12 x 12 format but due to space in
our little ole house there just isn't room to do that at this time.
Instead I make mini albums to give out as gifts.
I made this one with assorted Cricut cuts and
design paper I have collected over the years.

*Cricut cartridges used Locker Talk, My Community, Kate's ABCs and Wild Card 2.
{Cuts from my stash so  not sure of the sizes}
*Cricut Markers
*Design paper from my stash.

*TIP for Top Tip Tuesday* Write down the cartridge name and sizes of cuts when you cut out multiples of something and store it with the cuts so you will be able to have the info when you use them at a later date.
*This tip also comes in handy if you copy digital images or break apart stamp sets*

May your day always be filled with love.

Guest Designer ~ Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Good morning!
Today is the day I get to share my
Thanks for the wonderful Guest Designer honor.

Fantabulous Cricut

The challenge theme is one I'm sure all of you will enjoy.
It's Spring Cleaning: Use a cut or cartridge you haven't used before.

Now I must confess I am a Cricut cartridge collector.
I have 200+ and as you can tell by this picture I have
a few that I have yet to use so this challenge is perfect for me.

Okay I confess they aren't even open yet. {Shh! Don't tell my husband. lol}

I used one of those lonely little cartridges for today's card.
When the Create a Friend cartridge first came out I grabbed it up.
I'm a teacher and use my Cricut to create decorations for my classroom
and knew this one would come in handy for that as well as card making.

I started thumbing through the handbook {I LOVE the new ones}
and found the perfect cut to play with.
Some of you may still be dealing with the cold snow,
while others are enjoying the warm sunshine
we are being blessed with rain, rain and more rain.
Rain is pretty typical in our area.
It is not unusual for us to enjoy a wet and soggy 4th of July.
I thought this card might brighten someone's day
while we wait for Mr. sun to come and play.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Girl, umbrella and clouds cut at 3.25 in. from the Cricut Create a Friend cartridge.
*Sentiment, puddle and raindrops from the I'm Here For You Rain or Shine Stamp Set from My Creative Time.
*Face from the Happy Lashes Face Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.
*Heavenly Blue stamp pad from CTMH.

May your day always be filled with love.
Crafty hugs,
D~

2014 Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to our 2014 Valentine's Day Blog Hop!
Circlet Valentine's Day Blog Hop

If you came from Diane (Di&Co)'s blog then you are right on track.
If not then you can start the hop at RockinRenee's blog
so you won't miss any crafty goodness.
***And she has blog candy**
Today we are highlighting Valentine's Day inspired projects.

I am super excited to be taking part in this blog hop
{my very first as a contributor}
and hope you enjoy what I have created to share with you today.

I started with one of my new Cricut cartridges, Simple Holiday Cards.
I loved how the scattered hearts looked
and thought they would make a great card front.
When you cut the cards on this cartridge
your Cricut cuts the front and back all at once.
All you need to do is fold it in half and
add the liner to the inside to have a completed card.
I thought this cut would make a wonderful background.
I cut the card at 4 in. then trimmed around
the hearts to create the 4 x 5.25 in. card front.
I added polka dot design paper behind then attached it to the card base.
I found this wonderful banner cut on
another newbie cartridge, Creative Holiday Cards.
I cut it at 6 in., trimmed the front piece a little, sponged up the edges
and attached the banner front with foam tape.
To finish off the card I added this sweet little couple to the corner.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Card front cut at 4 in. from the Cricut Simple Holiday Cards cartridge.
*Banner cut at 6 in. from the Cricut Creative Holiday Cards cartridge.
*Bear image called A Gentle Touch from Crafty Sentiments Designs.
*Design paper from the Black and White paper pad from Recollections.
*Sentiment from Craft Smart {distributed by Michaels}.
*Copic markers C-3, BV23 , R21 and 100.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.

Now I'll send you off to your next blog hop stop at Angie's (TiffysMom) blog.
I hope you enjoyed my card and will come back real soon.
I've added the complete blog hop list below in case you need it.
May your day always be filled with love.
