OMGosh where oh where did the month go? 

There is only 58 day left until Christmas. Yikes.

I have soooo much to do.

Just Because Card ~ The Way You Made Them Feel

A few weeks ago we went to visit my father-in-law.

He lives four hours away from us.

While we were there we went out to dinner.

When I walked over to fill up my pop I saw one of my former students.

She had moved four hours away in a different direction.

As she turned around she spotted me, ran over and gave me a huge hug.

Then she burst out in tears in my arms.

Her grandfather saw her crying 

and came right over thinking she had hurt herself.

I introduced myself so he would realize we knew each other. 

Between sobs she told me how much she missed me.

Wow was that a special moment for me.

This saying has always been one of my favorites 

but after seeing this sweet little girl and having her remember me 

after two years it has even more meaning for me now.

What a wonderful job I have been blessed with.

Birthday Card ~ Fall Is Coming {1st Post}

Tuesday was the first day of school for our students.

It was so fun to see all those sweet and excited faces.

While the start of a new school year marks a time for things to slowdown 

for a lot of you, it is the opposite for those of us in the education biz.

Autumn is coming and the leaves will soon be falling.

Right now I'll take and totally enjoy the few sunny days we have left.

Birthday Card ~ Blue and Green Bot {2nd Post}

I got an idea while I was embossing the background for my first card today.

I could use the extra pieces to create the background for a second one.

This time around I added the embossed design to a white card base 

and changed the sentiment and bot colors up a bit.

Birthday Card ~ Green and Blue Bot {1st Post}

I had a lot of fun creating my background for this card.

First I embossed both the green and blue papers at the same time.

Next using the sketch as inspiration I drew the design on scratch paper.

Then I placed the sketch on top and cut them both at the same time.

To finish up I colored up then fussy cut this cute 

little bot peeking from behind the sentiment circle.

Birthday Card ~ Birthday Buddies

I would like to thank Gerda at Gerda Steiner Designs for these cute digis.

The elephant is a freebie this weekend so we can join her 72 hour challenge.
After I colored up the digis I fussy cut the elephant and
adhered him with foam tape to add a little dimension.
I think the little bear looks adorable peaking around the elephant.

Birthday Card ~ A Birthday Snuggle {2nd Post}

Do you recognize these sweet little birds?

I used them on my first card today.

When I copied them I wasn't sure which size I wanted to use.

These guys were printed really large by accident 

but then I decided I could trim them up and still use them.

After I colored them I added them to my black card base.

I really love how my mistake turned out.

On A Stampage Mynn's birthday bash

Birthday Card ~ A Floral Snuggle {1st Post}

My sweet husband spent the morning studying...

Our daughter spent the morning sleeping in...

So what is a girl to do? This one spent the morning crafting.

I started by printing off a few digital images.

I colored them up with my new Chameleon markers.

Next I framed up the pansies with purple paper which helped them pop.

Then I fussy cut the birds and added them to one side of the flowers.

To finish up I stamped the sentiment with a Versamark pad and 

heat embossed it with the new black embossing powder 

I received as a prize from the wonderful people at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Thanks so much it embossed the sentiment beautifully.
