Love/Valentine ~ Card In a Box {4th Post}

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
I made another card-in-a-box project today.

This time I used a blue color combo and embossed the panels.
I added a lot of hearts and a few sentiments to really make it pop.
I LOVE how well these hearts nest together.
They work well together and alone.

*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.

Love/ Valentine Card ~ Card In a Box {1st Post}

Welcome everyone.
We are just beginning our slow thaw.
Snow, freezing rain, not enough snow plows oh my.

For todays project I made a 3D Card in a Box.
I watched a few videos on You Tube to see how to create the box.
I wanted my card to fit inside a 4-3/8 x 5-3/4 envelope
so I played around last night to get the measurements I wanted.

 Here my card is folded to fit in the envelope.

 

*Card when closed 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card in a box when open is 5.5 x 2x2x2x2
*Butterflies and sentiment from the So Fluttery stamp set from Verve Stamps.

*Butterfly cut using the Flutterby Die from Verve Stamps.

*Large hearts from the Wings of Love stamp set from Verve Stamps.
*Large hearts cut using the Wavy Hearts Die Set from Verve Stamps.
*Heart flowers and small hearts from the No Matter What stamp set from Verve Stamps.

*Small hearts cut using a punch from Fiskars.
*Sentiment frame embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.

*My measurements:
~Base 7-1/2 x 9 in.
~Score {long side} at 2-1/8, 4-1/4, 6-3/8, 8-1/2
~Score {short side} at 2-1/4
~Cut 2 in off end to use for inside the box {see video}
*Décor panel sizes {leaves a border}
~Top panels 2 x 1-7/8 {x4}
~Bottom panels 3-1/8 x 1-7/8 {x8}
*note I didn't make my back note panel one piece like in the video
