Birthday Card ~ Have a Sunny One

Wow yesterday was another crazy 11 hour day at work.

Too much happened to go into detail. Let's just say it was not restful. lol.

After work I hurried home took a quick shower then rushed off 

through Friday night traffic to attend my sister's 50th birthday party.

It was so fun to see friends that I haven't seen in years.

Six of my seven siblings were there which was wonderful.

Today we are attending a huge family picnic where 

I'll get to visit more with my sibs and see lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, 

their kids and their kids and in some cases their kids. Yikes.

I have a summer filled birthday card to share today.

I was gifted a ton of design paper, card stock, brads 

and other assorted crafting goodies this week.

One small box, one medium box and three huge boxes. 

My hubby said the larger boxes weighed 33 lbs. each.

It all came as happy mail. Thanks Sheri!

{I sure hope the delivery person had a hand cart}

Birthday Card ~ Sweetie Bee {1st Post}

I combined this cute bee with the sweet cupcake 

using the masking technique where they overlapped.

Next I colored them up then brushed on some sparkly glitter.

I overlapped three scalloped heart borders then

used the negative cut hearts for decoration.

To finish up I added the sentiment on a die cut heart.

Birthday Card ~ Bee Happy {1st Post}

Good morning friends.

I hope your weekend has been a wonderful one so far.

For this card I tried a little color combo for the first time.

My color inspiration came from the wee little bee on this stamp.

I needed triangles on my project and had planned on adding a few scattered 

around but the white and yellow panels just called out for a little something 

so I added faux stitching and adhered them to the corners.

To finish off I added the sentiment panel.
