Happy Easter. Welcome Spring...

Happy Easter weekend everyone!!
I hope your days are filled with loved ones and laughter!

When I was making this card I searched my Peachy Keen stamps for just the right face and this one caught my eye. She looks so happy and ready to meet the world.

I am also going to make this one into baby cards.
With the bow in the hair it will be perfect for a baby girl card.
Add a cap on his head and it would make a great card for a boy.
Not sure if its a boy or girl? Put the egg shell on top and make it with neutral colors.
Twins anyone? The combos are endless.
Just change the sentiment. Wouldn't Welcome Little One go perfect?
Alright I am going to make some for this week sometime.
Check back to see what I come up with.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card front 5.25 x 4 in. embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle folder.
*Egg and chick cut at 3 in. from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge.
*Chick face from the Peachy Keen Critter Faces Med set.
*Happy easter sentiment from Darce's.
*Ribbon and reinstones from Joanns.
*Twine from my local craft store.
*Faux stiching added with a black Sharpie pen.

Thanks for visiting!
Love to hear from you!

A Basket Full of Love...

Hello everyone!
I can not believe Easter is almost here.
With it comes the end of my spring break...

The other day I received some happy mail and couldn't wait to make something with some of it.
Okay I admit it I cut out about 25 of those cute little bunnies. (once I fixed my Cuttlebaby)
The cute little bunnies and the saying are in a set from My Creatime Time called To My Best Peeps. A lot of the sayings are Easter related but there are a few that can be used year round.
I already have ideas for them that are not Easter related especially the one I used here.
Those and creations using the rest of my order will definately be in future posts.

*Card front 5.25 x 4 in. embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder.

*Basket embossed with the Cuttlebug Charles folder.
*Bunnies cut using the My Creative Time  To My Best Peep die and stamp set.

*Flowers punched using a EK Success punch from my stash.
*Bling reinstone flower centers from Joanns.

Easter Basket With A Flourish...

Hi all my loyal bloggy friends. Thanks for stopping by. Your kind comments are always appreciated!

I was so excited yesterday I recieved some happy mail so of course I needed to use part of it.

When I went to cut out this cute little tag I got from My Creative Time my Cuttlebug wouldn't work.
I could hear pieces rolling around inside her and the rollers would not engage.

EEEEK! As you know I LOVE to emboss my cards.

Cuttlebug Surgery

How could this be? I can't live without my Cuttlebug and a new one really isn't in the budget.
I've had her for years so I knew she wasn't under warranty any longer so I figured what the heck let's open her up and see if there is anything I can do to fix her.

Poor baby!

The poor girl had lost one of her gears. Is that like us loosing our marbles. Just wondering...

YAY!!!!! I fixed her!!!!

I've had this card in the planning stages for ages now and finally finished it in the wee hours this morning after my Cuttlebaby was fixed.

When I took my card outside to take pictures of it guess what? I dropped it!
AND you guessed it. It landed face down right in the wet with morning dew grass.
Just like buttered bread....
I had to wait for it to dry so the waterstains wouldn't show up in the picture.
Luckily it dried out okay and the water stains are now gone. Whew. Thought I was going to need to redo it for a while there.

Thanks for looking.

A Peek-A-Boo Easter...

I had a lot of fun trying different looks on this card.
With a sentiment and bow, without the sentiment and bow and with the sentiment hiding in the grass.
It is fun to see the different effects just adding one or two elements can make.
I even had it with the sentiment instead of the dragonfly but couldn't bare to leave her out. (wonder why. lol)

Thanks for looking.
Come back soon.

Uh Oh... Don't Let Go!

I have been having a ton of fun designing and making Easter and Spring themed cards.
I have a bunch of cards that are nearly complete and a few that are in the planning stages.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25in.
*Embossed layer using Cuttlebug Skyward Set folder.
*Hot air balloon cut at 4 in. from the Cricut Victorian Romance cartridge.
*Bunny cut at 1.75 in. from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.
*Flowers cut at 1 in. from the Accent Essentials cartridge.
*Eggs cut at 2 in. from the Doodlecharms cartridge.
*Egg ribbon from Holiday Inspirations bought at  Joanns.
*Peachy Keen bunny face.
*Decorations drawn using assorted Gelly Roll pens.
*Eggs embossed using Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl and Charles folders.
*Flowers embossed using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Once Upon a Princess folders.
*Basket embossed using Cuttlebug Oriental Weave folder.
*Hot air balloon has an Action Wobble on it so the balloon will wobble around.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughtful comments.
I appreciate it more than words can say.
