Birthday Card ~ Happy Birthday

OMGosh has it really been a whole week since I last shared?
The start of this school has been crazy...
Why oh why do teachers feel they need to pile on the perfume?
Do they really think the kiddos care?
I am one of those people who has severe allergic reactions to perfume.
My throat closes up, I loose my voice and it triggers my asthma.
And I get sick. Sadly I have been too exhausted to craft.
Anywhoooo... Today I finally had enough energy to make a card.
I embossed the sentiment background then distressed its edges.
To finish up I added a glittery flower die cut to the corner.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Flower cut using the Loving Blooms Fri-dies die set from CAS-ual Fridays.
*Embossed using the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder from Provo Craft.
*Glitter paper from my stash.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad from Tsukineko.

May your day always be filled with love and laughter.

  1. Great embossing and color combo. So delighted that you joined us at Word Art Wednesday. A new challenge is starting today and I hope you visit us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word found in Jeremiah 29:12-13 and the Lord tells us, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Have an awesome day!

  4. I'm sorry to hear that your allergies have been acting up, many places don't allow the employees to wear perfume just for that reason. LOVE this card, wonderful embossing folder and great colors.

  7. So funny that you mention perfume, there are a few teachers at my childrens school who really do pile it on and you can smell them before you see them!! I LOVE all the embossing you did on this card, its really effective and gorgeous in the blue colour card stock. And the white simple flower is the perfect embellishment. So very glad you shared this with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
