Father's Day ~ Lighthouse

Here is a Father's Day card for my very special father-in-law.
A few years ago I didn't have time or the mojo to make Christmas cards so I bought them.
No biggie for most people right but did I get a huge and pleasant surprise that year.
My father-in-law was very disappointed to not get one of my handmade cards.
He brought me into his bedroom where he has hung shelves especially to display each and every card I have ever made him.
So no matter what he will always get a special handmade card.

Sympathy Card ~ Flowers & Butterfly

When we moved into our neighborhood 22 years ago May 1st we were blessed with some very special neighbors.
Some have come and gone moving away only to be replaced with new neighbors.
Our neighborhood is a small one with only 20 houses on a street that circles back to meet itself  before once again putting visitors back onto the strret that brought them here.
Sadly in the past few months our neighborhood has been touched by the death of two of our own.

This card is for the family of our most recent loss.
Her death came as a huge surprise.
She was the healthiest 70-something year old I had ever met.
She came down with a case of shingles and never recovered fully.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Father's Day Card ~ Star In My Pocket

It is time for me to get started on some Father's Day cards.
For today's card I used a lot of the scraps and extra cuts I have piling up on my workspace.
Yup it is time to clean up since I'm down to a 4 x 4 in. work space left. lol

*Scroll cut using a die from Verve Stamps.
*Sentiment from the Verve Stamps World's Best stamp set.
*Stars cut at 0.5, 1.5 & 1.75 from the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge.
*Star tails cut from the Verve Stamps Flag It die set.
*Faux stitching using a Sakura Jelly Roll pen.
*Scrolls and star adhered with foam tape for dimension.
*Pocket cut by hand with pattern I created.

God Bless the USA Card ~ Diamonds, Stars & Stripes

I have really been having fun with all the red, white and blue.
The fun thing is they can also work for the 4th of July.

For this one I wanted the ribbon behind the diamonds to be wider so I put two of the red, white and blue ribbons together overlapping the blues at the center.

I have another baby card to share with you.
This card could also be used for a just because card so I took pictures of it before I added the diaper pins and after.
I fell in love this sweet Verve sentiment stamp.
It is one of my favorites so I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of it.

Let Freedom Ring Card ~ Stars and Stripes

Both of my cards today express how I feel about my country and those who have served to keep us free and safe.
Thank you just doesn't seem like enough but THANK YOU just the same.
My prayers go out to those families whose loved ones have been lost in wars both current and in the past.
I admire the family members who are left behind to run the everyday things because without their courage and strenghth the already hard jobs our military men and women are doing would be that much harder.
Thank you all for your service to this wonderful country.
