Birthday Card ~ Happy Happy

Well I got my wish. A snow day off from school/work!

First we had snow then nature covered it with 3/4 inch of ice.

They do not salt roads here to protect the environment which 

I am all for but it sure does leave things an slippery mess.

Since it was too dangerous to drive they closed the schools.

I had a little fun taking photos before the ice melted away.

Birthday Card ~ Celebrate

What a difference a day can make. 

Yesterday it was sunny, windy and in the 20s. 

Today we have snow, sleet and freezing rain.

We have a 2 hour school delay tomorrow.
Fingers crossed for a whole closure day.

Today I made a few birthday cards. Here is the first.

First I used the inlaid die cut technique on the balloons.

Next I drew on the balloon strings.

To finish up I added the die cut sentiment.

It is hard to see but the blue background 

design paper repeats happy birthday to you.

The first weekend of 2016 here. Can you believe it? 

Sadly that means my winter break will be over in days.

Christmas Card ~ A Snowy Night {2nd Post}

I'm still making my Christmas cards for 2016. LOL.

First I colored up then fussy cut this cute little snowman couple.

Next I scattered all those little snowflake die cuts.

To finish up I added the die cut sentiment.

Christmas Card ~ It's Snowing {1st Post}

I thought it would be fun to build a little snowman.

First I built my snowman using three bokeh circles.

Next I used one of the smaller ones to create his face.

I used a little heart for his nose and buttons.

I created the snowy hills and added the sentiment.

Then I scattered snowflake die cuts all around.

To finish off my card I added a few shiny rhinestones.
