Thinking of You ~ Gentle Thoughts (post #2)

For my second card I played off the red in the life preserver and then went with my husband's favorite color combination.
I added one of my all time favorite sentiments, cut a teeny gull from the sea stamp, topped it off with black and white twine and then added a matching sea star to bring the focus back to the sea scene image.
I have to tell you it literally took hours to find the right combination for my sentiment area. lol.
I cut the Verve Scroll die and sentiment like my first card but couldn't get the effect I was going for so I put the card aside and made my third card.
Then I pulled out my old trusty Verve Mini Bookplate and Small Phrases sets and  came up with the winning combination.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Card front is made up of alternating torn solid papers.
*Sentiment is from the Verve Stamps stamp set called Small Phrases
*Sentiment is stamped on the Mini Bookplate Die Set from Verve Stamps
*Sea scene stamp from my stash and does not have a brand name on it.
*Twine is from Divine Twine.

May your day always be filled with love.
Hugs,
D~
