Christmas Card ~ Christmas Beauty (post #2)

I have always loved angels especially after the death of my best friend in 1985.
This beautiful soul passed away at 19 in a horrible car accident and I miss her dearly.
Our friendship started when she was 9 and I was 15. Her family hired me to babysit her and her two younger brothers. She would always request me to be their sitter and one of the boys would also do things so other sitters wouldn't accept the job if offered to them first. We would hang out all the time and she would even come with me when I babysat other kiddos.
Fast forward a few years and now she is dating one of the friends I grew up with. I am dating my now husband and the four of us did everything together. We did yearly vacations to Disneyland and Magic Mountain. We hung out, went to dinner, played games, we were inseparable...
This beautiful angel in her flowing dress is how I imagine my friend Candace must look up there in heaven. Angel hugs to you my dear, sweet friend.

For my second card I cut around the angel, sponged her up a little and attached her to the design paper.  I thought this sentiment went perfectly with this card.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Design paper from the DCWV Winter Magic matstack.
*Sentiment from CTMH.
*Angel stamp from the Inkadinkado stamp set called Angel.
*Sparkly cording from Prism called Sparklers Shiny Skeins
*Rhinestones from Joanns
*Stamping and sponging done with the Moostruck CTMH stamp pad.

May your day always be filled with love.
Hugs,
D~
