Sympathy Card ~ Praying for You (post #3)

My next angel card is using the angel image but switching the colors and theme up a bit.
I stamped her directly on the design paper using a distress ink pad.
I like how it gave her that faded vintage feel.
I tore the edges again this time using a paper tearing tool I have had forever and I haven't used in years. Then I sponged the edges and a little here and there on the paper.
I dug into my scrap ribbon and other findings drawer where I keep those little pieces I just can't throw out or the beauties that are on packages I've received from others and tucked them behind my Verve sentiment and mini bookplate.
I feel a shopping trip to pick up some more Distress Ink pads coming in my very near future...

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Design paper from a Paula Deen paper pack I have had for years and never used.
*Sentiment from the So Happy stamps set from Verve Stamps
*Sentiment stamped on the Mini Bookplate Die Set from Verve Stamps
*Angel stamp from the Inkadinkado stamp set called Angel.
*Stamping and sponging done with the Jim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye stamp pad.
*Ribbon from my messy scrap drawer pictured below. To be honest it was like that because I dropped it last year. I just scooped everything into it and that's how it sat. When I needed some ribbon to match this card I rediscovered my stash MESS. Don't worry I straightened it up after I took the picture. lol.

May your day always be filled with love.
Hugs,
D~

  2. Wonderful Angel Sympathy Card. Like the colors you used in the different versions of this. Noticed your cards/creations in challenges I also enter & wanted to stop by & say hello. I also made a Fairy Card where I changed up the colors a bit for background for 3 different versions.
