Love/Valentine Card ~ Hearts and Hugs {1st Post}

My next sketch in my self imposed challenge is from My favorite Things.
They also have a color palette challenge going on.
Can you guess their first color combo? lol.
I started by embossing the rectangular black background
with arrows then rounding the corners.
I originally made the stamped banners to go side to side
like in the sketch but after trying it that way I moved them.
I thought they looked better laid top to bottom.
Next I colored up this sweet image and cut them out.
I framed them up with a heart embossed heart.
I stamped the sentiment and then hand cut its banner frame.
To finish off the card all of the edges were sponged black.

*Card base 5.5 x 4.25 in.
*Girl and bear from the Pure Innocence Bear Hugs stamp set from My Favorite Things.
*Banner design from the DC Large Scale Backgrounds stamp set from My Favorite Things.
*Sentiment from the No Matter What stamps set from Verve Stamps.
*Background embossed using the A2-Arrows folder from The Paper Studio.
*Heart embossed using the Cuttlebug Cross My Heart folder.
*Copic markers R83, E00, E13 and E33.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.

May your day always be filled with love.
Crafty hugs,
D~
