Birthday Card ~ Up, Up and Away

I have a water color birthday card to share today.
First I stamped then heat embossed the hot air balloons and cloud.
Next I painted them using ink from some distress markers.
The sky and grass were painted using ink from some distress pads.
I stamped the birthday sentiment around the card edge.
To finish up I trimmed my painting to fit inside the sentiment frame.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Hot Air Balloon and cloud from the Blue Skies stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
*Sentiment from the Poppy Birthday stamp set from Verve Stamps.
*Frost White Pigment stamp pad from Color Box.
*Clear Embossing Powder from Personal Stamp Exchange.
*Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers, Dusty Concord, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo Distress Markers from Ranger.
*Tim Holtz Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress stamp pads from Ranger.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad from Tsukineko.

May your day always be filled with love.

  7. Fantastic watercoloring! I LOVE the use of white embossing for the balloons and cloud - really makes the color pop and creates a stronger watercolor effect. I'm going to have to try this technique out. Thanks for sharing! :)
