Mother's Day Card ~ A Little Thought... {2nd Post}

If you are looking for my Flourishes Blog Parade post please go {here}

Mother's Day cards, like sympathy cards,
are a little hard for me to make.
Mother's Day is a time to thank our Mothers
for all that they have given of themselves
and for all the wisdom they shared over the years.

My Momma passed away 23 4/12 years ago.
I think of her daily and miss her dearly.
I take with me the love and support she was always
there to give my seven siblings and I.
She opened her heart and literally her door to all of our friends
inviting them to share a meal or a place to stay.
My husband is an only child.
My Momma made him feel as though he was hers.
We were truly the lucky ones.

This card will be shared with someone who is
lucky enough to have their Mother here to give it to.
If you are one of the lucky ones please hold your Momma close.
Tell her that you love her often.

I stamped the image in the middle, masked it with a sticky note
Next I stamped it at the top then the bottom.
It made a wonderful image that filled my card from top to bottom.

*Card base 4.25 x 5.5 in.
*Flowers from the With Gratitude stamp set from Flourishes.
*Sentiment from Hero Arts.
*Embossed using the Cuttlebug Wicker Weave folder.
*Copic markers B24 and YG67.
*Memento Tuxedo Black and Summer Sky stamp pads.

May your day always be filled with love.
Crafty hugs,
D~

  5. Beautiful Card D, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it must still be hard in some ways especially Mother's Day. I too know what it is like to not have a mother around anymore. I'm sure your card will bring great joy to another mother. Hugs

  12. Beautiful card, D. I love the flowers. I lost my Mum 11 years this year - so too find it hard to make motherly cards. But I made two this year, one off me and Andy and one off the girls to send to Andy's Mum at the end of the month - Mothers Day UK. Hugs, Karon.

  14. BEAUTIFUL card! And just perfect for Mother's Day . . . so sorry about your momma. No matter how old we get, we will still always want/need our moms . . . and no matter how long they may have been gone, there is still a piece of your heart that is empty. Again, so sorry . . . but Thank You for such a thoughtful card to all of those who are fortunate enough to still have their moms. Also, Thanks for joining us over at Hiding In My Craft Room for our Super Scraps Saturday challenge! Hope to see you again soon!
