Boss's Day Card ~ Sweet Treats

Yesterday was the official Boss's Day but our boss was out of the building at a principal meeting so we celebrated it today.
Our LOTO team (Ladies Of The Office)always come up with a fun theme for special occasions.
This year's Boss's Day theme was goodies.
We all brought in some goodies to make a goodie basket for him.
To honor him we were all asked to wear ties {He wears lots of fun ties}
So to combine the goodies and tie themes I created this card for the staff to sign for him.
I cut the tie base out from white card stock then alternated the cupcake border with 1 in. strips of paper from my scraps.
Next I colored the cupcakes up with Copics markers.
Then I die cut the scroll then wrote the sentiment by hand.
The card needed a little something so I used the dot page folder to add texture to the background.

*Card base 8.5 x 5.5 in.
*Card front embossed using the Cuttlebug Polka dot Page folder.
*Tie cut at 8 in. from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge.
*Cupcake border from the Sweets stamp set from Heidi Grace Designs.
*Sentiment scroll frame die cut from Verve Stamps.
*Sentiment handwritten by me.
*Copic pens B23, B29, B32, YG03, G07, Y06 & R37.
May your day always be filled with love.
