Halloween Card ~ Boo To You (post #3)

Happy Halloween!
When Silhouette had a freebie Halloween card available for us to download I grabbed it.
I thought the ghost would make a fun card or two.
First I cut out a few of the of the ghosts and boos.
And of course what self respecting ghost would dare go out without their googly eyes a shinin'?
I embossed the background using swirls to replicate I windy night.
To finish my card off I added a few little twine bows.

Baby Card ~ You Are Loved (post #2)

For my next card I wanted to use this adorable stamp.
I thought it would make the perfect sentiment for my tag since I wanted it to be the focal point.
I stamped it on some of the left over paper from yesterday's card then cut it with a circle punch.
I wanted my tag to be a little different so I used my oval punch to create its unique shape.
Next, sticking with the star theme in the stamp I embossed a starry background.
I used this left over design paper strip from yesterday's background as a base to highlight the white lace then tied ribbon to my tag.
I wanted to add a little sweet babyness to my card so I finished it off with these teeny tiny punched out baby bottles.

Birthday Card ~ Light It Up (post #1)

I thought I would give a one layer CAS card another try.
First I got out my new Pinwheels & Popsicles stamp set that arrived in my mailbox last week.
I stamped the lanterns in the upper left hand corner then again in the upper right hand corner after masking off one the lanterns so I could have them overlap a little.
Next I used the ribbon section from the That's a Wrap stamp set to create a frame for my sentiment.
The lower left hand corner was a tad empty and I wanted to add something birthday related so I used this adorable mouse and present from the Hello Friend stamp set.
I colored them all up using my Tombo colored pencils.

Birthday Card ~ Pretty Pink Flowers

After choosing these gorgeous flowers to create with I found this pretty DCWV paper to add.
I cut the design paper using the scallop oval then stamped the flowers in its center.
I found this Copic marker that matched the darker pink in the paper and colored them up.
I cut the larger scallop to frame it all up.
I cut a tiny tag out of the same design paper I used for the flowers, tied a sweet little bow and attached the tag with a little twine.
The background design paper has a beautiful flower, lace and butterfly design on it.
I finished the card off by adding this perfectly sized sentiment.

Birthday Card ~ All Tied Up

Hello my crafty friends.
I used stamps from two of my favorites today.
First I started stamping the background alternating the rose and sentiment stamps.
Next I colored it with a few Copics.
Then I stamped and fussy cut the ribbon, bow and tag.
To finish it off I added the sentiment to the tag.

Thank You Card ~ 100 Days of Tombo (post #3)

I would like to once again thank all of the wonderfully generous people at Tombo.  
When I heard about the wonderful way they are celebrating 100 years of Tombo  I jumped at the chance to join in.
I sent them an email and they sent me some wonderful Tombo products to create with.
All they ask is that I create something with the goodies and post it on my blog.
I did that originally back in October and wanted to do another post today also.
Just sharing their crafting goodies alone would have been extremely generous but they didn't stop there.
For every submission entered for the “100 Days of Tombow” blogging program they will  make a $100.00 product donation to the Council for Arts Education.
Thanks so much Tombo for these generous donations to such a great cause!!!

This time I fussy cut the image by hand since the Flourishes Silhouette file isn't available for this set yet. I sure do love having these cuts handy at my finger tips or ready to go on my computer.
I colored the image with a combo of Tombo markers and colored pencils.
Then I embossed the background to add a little dimension.
I stamped the sentiment and when I got it just the way I liked it I hand cut a tag to adhere it to.
To finish off my card I tied the tag on with a ribbon bow.

I broke out a lot of oldies but goodies to play with some of my newer crafting goodies to create this card.
I used some more of the fussy cuts I cut out.
Look how wonderful the fussy cut and fussy cut frame look with this pretty rose.
I love how well this birthday sentiment goes with just about any style of card.
The tags were cut using my Silhouette and then I added the rhinestones to finish off the card.

Thank You Card ~ CAS (post #2)

Okay I've decided that I am definitely not a one layer CAS kind of card crafter. lol.
I usually do not put a whole lot of layers and embellishments on my cards so they will be postal friendly but I do like to add a little something here and there to spice things up a bit.
I got this cute Penny Black stamp set about a month ago and thought it would be the perfect set to give my one layer card a little dimension using multiple colors.
While I do like how this card turned out I would love to have made it with a matching frame under the white card front and maybe a little bling in the flower centers, and......

Yesterday I made a card with this wonderful Flourishes stamp set and had cut out a bunch of their Silhouette design files with the promise of another card in the works.
My plan was to build a wilderness scene card with the extra cuts.
The kraft background was a little plain so I embossed it up to add a little texture.

Birthday Card ~ Fussy Cut Heaven (post #2)

Oh my gosh I'm in fussy cut heaven.
The challenge at Flourishes is to make a project using fussy cutting and the challenge at Verve is to use a tag so of course I combined them together to make this masculine birthday card.

 

I ordered a few Flourish Stamps Silhouette design files that they created to go with a lot of their stamp sets and have been playing around with them today.
They have SVG files too but I only have the regular Silhouette program so these Silhouette ones are just what I needed.
The files are designed to fit the stamp sets perfectly leaving just a little fussy cut edge around the stamped design.
I used the offset tool in my Silhouette program to make the perfect fussy cut frames to go with them.

As you can see I made a lot of these wonderful cuts so I am making another card using these.

Christmas Card ~ Inspired By... (post#1)

The challenge at Lawnscaping this week is Pinterest Inspired but lucky for me they also included a way for those of us who do not follow along with Pinterest.
We can find a project on someone's blog to "pin" on our blog.
I have a lot of ideas already sketched out from projects that have set off my creative imagination.
Here is my first one...

A Quick hello...

Hi sweet followers.
As you can see it has been a few days since my last post.
I have had the worst head cold and lost my voice (not good for a teacher. lol)
I stayed home from work a few days and have just been resting a ton to try and shake it.
I have been totally zapped of energy.
My plan is to get some crafting done this weekend.

Halloween Card ~ All Dressed Up

When I saw this little cutie I just knew I had to make a card with her.
I colored her up with purples and grey.
The pumpkin got colored in traditional gourd colors.
I stamped, colored then cut out the candy corn to sprinkle around the pumpkin.
I added her to the front of the tag and added a ribbon.
The background was a little plain so I embossed it.
I stamped the sentiment side-by-side so it would fit on the flag frame.

Birthday Card ~ Whoopsy (post #2)

Oh no some one's been in the cake. lol.  I cut this little cutie on my Silhouette.
I started with this cute little  puppy who is getting into mischief.
I knew I wanted to add a tag to the card so I thought it would look cute to have the puppy holding it in his mouth. This tag is part of a Silhouette tag set they had as a freebie a while back.
This great Verve sentiment was just the right size for the tag front.
I adhered the tag, puppy head & paws with foam tape to add a little dimension.
To finish off the card I embossed the background and added twine to the tag.

Halloween Card ~ Pickin' a Pumpkin (post #1)

If you follow my blog I'm sure you know by now but I LOVE to add a little here and a little there to a great image to make it fit my theme.
I have been wanting to use this cute little Crafty Sentiment freebie for a while now.  They gave it as a freebie a while back so we could use it in a challenge.  She is actually in an intertube and wearing a bathing suit. {I couldn't find her in their store to add a link}
Of course this is not bathing suit weather so I filled in the suit to give her a blouse.
Next I cut her out and nestled her behind this row of stamped pumpkins.
The sweet stitched tag is a cut that came with my Silhouette Portrait {it comes with 50}
And I am using the Verve Mini Bookplates to frame my Cardz TV sentiment.
Finally I colored it all up with Copics and added this beautiful Little Scrap Pieces ribbon.

Thinking Of You Card ~ Pumpkin Patch (post #2)

I've been collecting clear acetate materials for years now.  You know the stuff that our Cricut cartridges, embossing folders and other assorted crafting goodies come in.  A while back I ran some of it through an embossing folder to see what would happen.  I loved how it turned out but never made anything with it.  It is still waiting. lol.
I wanted to see how it would look using this folder with pumpkins and vines.
Next I wondered if it would work to color on it with copics and it did.
I punched corner notches to hold the acetate in place on the frame.
Then I added the 'friend' sentiment to a tag and the 'another name for love' sentiment to a small frame.
To finish off the card I gave the tag a little black brad and adhered it in place with foam tape for dimension.

Birthday Card ~ CAS (post #2)

For my second card I wanted to keep the sentiment the main focus so I decided to play a little with a black and white color combo.
First I stamped the sentiment then framed it up with alternating black and white.
Next I embossed the card front with the party hat embossing folder.
Then I finished it off with a little twine knot.

Halloween Card ~ Hangin' In the Patch (post #1)

This sweet little Jaded Blossom friend is hanging out at the pumpkin patch today.
Look at all those little cuties she has to choose from.
First I stamped then colored her up using a few of my Copics.
Next I stamped up a bunch of pumpkins and added a little Peachy Keen face before coloring them up.
I broke out the slider tag die I had yet to use {I've had it for years} and punched it out.
Then I stamped a Cardz TV sentiment and used a circle punch to add it to the center of the tag.
I added a little ribbon through the slider, sponged up the edges here and there and put it all together with foam tape to give it a little dimension.
