2014 Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Today we are highlighting Valentine's Day inspired projects.

I am super excited to be taking part in this blog hop
{my very first as a contributor}

and hope you enjoy what I have created to share with you today.

 

I started with one of my new Cricut cartridges, Simple Holiday Cards.

I loved how the scattered hearts looked
and thought they would make a great card front.

When you cut the cards on this cartridge
your Cricut cuts the front and back all at once.

All you need to do is fold it in half and
add the liner to the inside to have a completed card.

I thought this cut would make a wonderful background.

I cut the card at 4 in. then trimmed around
the hearts to create the 4 x 5.25 in. card front.

I added polka dot design paper behind then attached it to the card base.

I found this wonderful banner cut on
another newbie cartridge, Creative Holiday Cards.

I cut it at 6 in., trimmed the front piece a little, sponged up the edges
and attached the banner front with foam tape.

To finish off the card I added this sweet little couple to the corner.

*Card front cut at 4 in. from the Cricut Simple Holiday Cards cartridge.

*Banner cut at 6 in. from the Cricut Creative Holiday Cards cartridge.

*Bear image called A Gentle Touch from Crafty Sentiments Designs.

*Design paper from the Black and White paper pad from Recollections.
*Sentiment from Craft Smart {distributed by Michaels}.
*Copic markers C-3, BV23 , R21 and 100.
*Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad.
