A few weeks ago we went to visit my father-in-law.
He lives four hours away from us.
While we were there we went out to dinner.
When I walked over to fill up my pop I saw one of my former students.
She had moved four hours away in a different direction.
As she turned around she spotted me, ran over and gave me a huge hug.
Then she burst out in tears in my arms.
Her grandfather saw her crying
and came right over thinking she had hurt herself.
I introduced myself so he would realize we knew each other.
Between sobs she told me how much she missed me.
Wow was that a special moment for me.
This saying has always been one of my favorites
but after seeing this sweet little girl and having her remember me
after two years it has even more meaning for me now.
What a wonderful job I have been blessed with.

Well your post brought tears to my eyes. I remember my teachers so well and have such fond feelings for them. Some have passed sadly - it's been a long time since I've been in school. You've obviously made a big impression on this girl and that is special indeed!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool and very sweet story - my eyes are tearing up!!! It is so important for us to leave blessings in our path and touch others lives - you truly have done that with this student - Bless you BOTH!!! Awesome card and I love how the simplicity of the design just focuses on the message!!! Happy weekend to you!!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet story, educators are so important to our young people, I can imagine how special you feel knowing that you made such an impression on a young one. Great card, wonderful sentiment and colors.

This is too cute...Love the colors and the lay-out. So glad you joined our 200th Challenge at Word Art Wednesday last week. We have a new Challenge today and I hope you join us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word in Colossians 2:6-8 which says, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." Have a blessed day!
