When I first saw this designer draft this idea popped into my head.

I am so glad I had a chance to finish it today.

My exclamation point was created using the negatives out of the e and the l.

Mother's Day Card ~ For Mom {2nd Post}

After coloring up this little cutie I cut a second banner 

and attached it with foam tape for dimension.

I finished off the edge with some twine.

A Fun Night With a Surprise

Hey as you may have noticed I didn't have anything crafty 

to share yesterday but I have a wonderful excuse. tee hee hee.

First off my daughter is a HUGE Jim Butcher fan.

He was in town for a book talk and signing.

We spent a great night hanging out together.

BUT that's not all...

While waiting for Jim Butcher to come we got to know the couple next to us.

They are of course HUGE fans as well.

Once Jim was there and introduced HE
announce her name and asked her to stand.

He asked her a few questions and she said told him she was so embarrassed.

Jim Butcher told her just you wait.

When she glanced at her boyfriend he was down on one knee.

I'm sure you can guess the rest. tee hee hee.

I whipped out my cell phone and took pictures.
I emailed them to her so she could have pictures of the moment.

There are better pictures with his great big happy smile 

but I specifically chose this one for privacy.

What a fun night!

Birthday Card ~ Celebrations

I added washi tape to paper then cut it out with the scallop die center.

Next I stamped the hats on paper, added washi tape, 

cut them out and added them to the card front.

I scattered the stamped sentiment around the hats.

Birthday Card ~ Lucky Ladybug {2nd Post}

My sweet little lady bug is back for another visit.

I embossed the flower background and was thrilled

to find the MCT circle die cut fit inside it perfectly.

I embossed it to give it a little texture.

I hand cut the banner to frame up the sentiment.

Thinking Of You Card ~ Friend {1st Post}

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by today.

I wanted to play with some of my new MFT goodies today.
I used both their sketch and color palette and
included things that started with the letters in my name.
First I stamped the wildflower background.
Next I die cut friend and turned it into a banner.
I die cut a button and added a little twine.
Then I cut out some tiny butterflies to scatter around.
The kraft layer was a little bland so I embossed it but used the reverse side.

Thinking Of You Card ~ Missing You

Hello crafty friends. I hope your weekend is a wonderful one so far.

I once again painted over my embossed image.

I like how the leaves pop from the blue background once they are painted.

I made my little ladybug using a few MCT dies and a punch.

First, for his body, I cut large circles in black and red.

Next I punched black circles and add them to the red circle.

Then I cut the dotty red circle in half and added the wings to the black one.

For its head I die cut a button, backed it with white and added eyeballs.

I love the stitching and the button holes worked perfectly for his eyes.

Thank You Card ~ Floral Tree {2nd Post}

I was playing around with water, stamp pad ink and embossing folders.

I wasn't happy with the results when I added the watered ink to

this folder before embossing so I simply embossed it first 

then hand painted the tree background for my card.

I stamped then fussy cut the flowers 

and finished them off with tiny rhinestone centers.

I added my ribbon wrap and bow to the bottom of the bouquet.

I framed it up with an embossed circle and

Birthday Card ~ Happy, Happy, Happy {1st Post}

I wanted to create a little CAS card.

I stamped and framed the happy sentiment three times

then added the birthday sentiment straight to the card front.

To finish off my card I added three large sequins with small sequin centers.

They looked like little flowers and gave me the idea for my second card.

Love Card ~ Linked Love {1st Post}

For this card I once again used hearts cut from my watercolor creation.

This time I linked one up with ones I cut from black card stock.

For my little hearts in the corner I used the center cut.

I had the hardest time getting these cards to photograph.

Not sure if it all the solid open space or not but my camera

tends to darken up the background and the colors

do not always show clearly so I took a few pictures to share.
