Birthday Card ~ Butterfly Wishes {1st Post}

Happy Friday everyone!
I cut a frame from my card front.
Next I placed the striped vellum behind it.
I backed the velum with blue paper to accent the stripes.
Then I die cut the glittery butterflies.
To finish up I added this sweet sentiment.

When our daughter was little she liked hot air balloons.

We took her to a hot air balloon festival.

She picked out material and I made her hot air balloon curtains.
The hot air balloons were even rainbow colored.

When I saw this Lawn Fawn set I just HAD to have it.

Birthday Card ~ Monster Birthday

I have a quick little birthday card to share today.

There is a 1st birthday celebration going on over a Create a Smile.

This is a new to me company so I used two of their freebies on my card.

I simply printed them off, colored and fussy cut 

the cute monster and trimmed up the fun sentiment.

Sorry to be MIA... Everything is Okay

OMGosh I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted...

This week my husband's aunt has been visiting from out of state. 
{She is our age so she is more like a sister}

We've been showing her all around getting home 
late from each day's wonderful adventure.
We have had such a wonderful time

Sympathy Card ~ For You

Sympathy cards are always the hardest for me to make.

 I think because it reminds me of those I've lost, how I felt 

at the time and how the recipient must be feeling now.

I fell in love with this embossing folder when I saw it.

I love how it adds a little soothing elegance to the card.

To finish my card I simply stamped the flower, 

colored it up and added a few rhinestones.

I am working 11 hour days in a building with no air conditioning so...

Birthday Card ~ Spots and Plaid

OMGosh this summer is flying by.

A few years ago a very sweet co-worker gave me some sample 

scrapbooks she had created when she worked for CTMH.

My plan was to use the papers and embellishments to create cards.
She was going recycle them. I am recycling them into other projects. lol.

They have been hanging around my classroom waiting..... until now.

All the colors were already matched up and waiting for me.
This was so much fun. I should have done it sooner.

Baby Card ~ A Little Snuggle {2nd Post}

I used my newest Paper Smooches set for my card today.
I fell in loVe with these sweet elephants when I saw them.
Our zoo has had two baby elephant born within the last five years.
We love going there to see them.
It is amazing to see the love between not only the
mother and baby but between the other aunties in their herd.
